(2002). The article is written from an academic perspective but includes plenty of information to interest the small-business owner, who perceives a need to improve the developmetn of his or her employees. It concludes that the notion of small and medium-sized companies as homogeneous is flawed. There are obviously small and medium-sized companies as homogeneous is falwed. There are obviously major differences between micro, small and medium organizations, but there are also disparities even where industry sector and approximate size are comparable.
